Dr. Chattopadhyay received her PhD in Government and Social Policy from Harvard University. Her interest is in social policy; the politics of health policy (health insurance, Medicare, Medicaid); regulation; legislative-bureaucratic relations; congressional agenda setting; race and ethnic politics; immigrant political incorporation; citizen responses to negative wealth and income shocks; program evaluation; administrative capacity.
